The Windows

The Myer Christmas Windows made their debut in 1956- the year of the Melbourne Olympics. They were the brainchild of Freddie Asmussen, a worker at the Myer Emporium. Rather fittingly the theme of the first windows was ‘Santa and the Olympics’.
