This blog is an outlet, a (vanity) project, a hobby. I can’t vouch for any of it, but maybe you might.

This blog is named after a fellow countryman Salvador Efrain Salazar Arrue (Salarrue) a celebrated Salvadoran artist and thinker.

As a child, growing up in El Salvador, I was inspired by his writing because he writes in the everyday, folkloric, slang-filled, Salvadoran Spanish that everyone around me spoke. His writing was about the routine, daily experiences, myths, and legends of ordinary people just like me. Also, After Salazar just sounds nice.
