We're Here, We're Queer, And We Study Law
Well, these are the types of emails I love getting.
I won’t name them, because privacy is important, let’s call this wonderful person Lex, check this out:
I hit my mid-20s, burned out and decided to go to law school. I was pretty nervous about facing The Establishment of Law as a newly-minted transgender person, but finding your online presence and seeing how you openly and joyfully express your queerness has made me feel a lot more comfortable.
I guess thanks for... being yourself? And all the hard work you've put in to creating resources to make Australian law more accessible. I'm going to do my best to stick with it.
Hey, thanks Lex, I truly appreciate your kindness, do keep in touch and let me know how your studies in law go, I’d love to hear all about it.
I’ve been really lucky, or maybe what I call “stupid in the right way” and have used my queerness as a tool to keep on getting ahead, I’ve also been fortunate enough that this somehow just worked for me.
I’ve sort of being a professional homosexual for a long time, working with and for our communities. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been rewarding.
I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and well-wishes, I truly appreciate it in ways that I can’t even express. Go out there, be as queer as possible and you can’t go wrong.
